Dr. Andrea Prosser graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology. Afterwards, she completed her medical school training at the Medical College of Georgia and received multiple awards including Alpha Omega Alpha honors. She stayed in Augusta to complete her ophthalmology residency at Georgia Health Sciences University. During her residency she was involved in research identifying disease markers for glaucoma. She was also named chief resident during her last year.
Dr. Prosser provides comprehensive eye care for both adults and children. This includes diagnosis and management of cataracts, glaucoma, refractive error, strabismus, diseases of the anterior segment, and diabetic retinopathy screening. She performs cataract surgery, laser procedures, glaucoma surgery, and strabismus surgery.
